Delayed Update
I've been meaning to make this update for a while but have been putting it off for a little. I've basically gotten used to being in Philly now, also am quite happy with having a job. While not expecting to end up with a full time job, hey it was what came about and will support me much more then I need it to. Still this means much less time on my hands to deal with school, enjoying my time in Philly, and keeping up with people. Just to make things better, as many people know I've been training to run the half marathon at Philadelphia Marathon on Nov. 22nd so even more of my time is now taken up. This leads me to basically sum up what I want to achieve while living in Philly and supporting myself: School: I definitely want to keep my GPA up and do well, this should not be too bad since for the most part Keller is JUST DEVRY all over again. (P.S. I've learned that even in graduate school I should not expect a basic level of intelligence between my peers) Work: I like my job and everything with it atm but sadly it really does not directly deal with my major so at some point I will probably start looking for another job in my industry to get some actual experience. Lab: I've been wanting to really piece together a cisco lab to use and practice on in order to prepare for Cisco certifications. I have a decent switch and plan on grabbing 2-4 routers over the next few months along with a decent firewall. Problem with this is that it will cost a decent amount of money. The routers are gonna run me $100-150 each, and the firewall will run me $200-300. Sure this is going to cost a lot but it will give me plenty of practice to get the certifications that will help me with not only getting jobs but pretty much necessary to keep them. I have plans for getting other certifications beyond them, most noticeably the Net+ certification which I actually just need to cram some more for and I should pass no problem. Leisure: I would like to get out more, but right now school, work and running have been eating most of my time up. This should change some when I start working later in the day rather then the morning, since then it basically sets me up for going out on days that I have off. I also have a kind of thought in my head is that I should post up different things and event fliers of things I attend on my wall just cause I think it would be awesome. I've also been doing a decent job of keeping up with people and hopefully this will stay the case. tl:dr I have a lot to do, a lot I want to do and a lot I'm currently doing. |

Sleep and free time is not something I have lately. D: Hopefully I can start relaxing Saturday or Sunday. Though I still need to find an apartment by July 6th so not too much relaxing. Maybe after I move I can find some more time to play Pump and get better at no bar again. NXA would be good encouragement for that. |

T-day plus one... or two at said point.
So looking at lj most people seem to be having a good time. Looks like I missed a decent amount of things, but not the worst considering I have had a little fun. I have something that I want to accomplish that really means nothing but hey it would be fun so why not; not to mention I am already well on my way with it. Also I played on a crapocab ITG today at the local mall in Springfield, Illinois. The pads weren't the worst but still sucked. I talked to a couple of people that seemed cool and the one working was encouraging me to take the scores and I took a like 10 of them in three or four games from some kid who apparently was a big asshole that thought he was great... the scores sucked more then the machine btw XD. Anyways I smell atm and need a shower.......... so goodnight. |

Sns may suck in a week or so... or not... idk. I talked to the guy at American Amusement's to see if they would sell the pump machine for cheap since no one plays it (which he quoted me 4k on for the piece of shit.) Then he said to go play ITG2 in a week or so because "a new computer would be arriving with 90/0 (not sure how many he said, sounded like 900 but that can't be correct) new songs" I have no idea what this means other then maybe they upgraded to Supernova )_);;;;;... or some other bs. Or maybe he was thinking of Supernova 2 /shrugs w/e will find out sometime. |

I went out to get food this morning in my car and came back to find a yellow paper on my porch door handle. So I grab the paper and read it and it's a "Citizen Advisory" from the Union Police Dpt., and it says "Help us prevent a theft from your vehicle." Then went on to tell me to basically not leave anything valuable in my car like the radar detector that they noted on the paper that is mounted to my windshield. So basically I am getting a notice that my town sucks, I'm going to get robbed for having something of value and that cops apparently don't have anything better then to stalk peoples cars. |
